Summary of the 31^st session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission is concluded and presented by “Food Quality News”.

Food Quality News reports that 31^st session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) ( 30 June – 4 July 2008 in Geneva, Switzerland) adopted 35 international food standards ,including recommendations, definitions ,guidelines and codes of practice.

These approved Codex  documents concern several aspects as follows:

§ Defining of flavorings
§ Threshold for gluten in 'gluten free'

§ Labelling

§ Mycotoxin contamination
